‘Guitar Works Cd5′ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Lead single “Ies Beyond The Wall (East Berlin 80)” and “Rapyard (Hamburg 1980)” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. There is so much to love about Edgar Froese, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Guitar Works Cd5 touched my soul like nothing else.
Rapyard (Hamburg 1980) which is my favorite is a truly Edgar Froese sounding song. Quichotte (Santa Monica 1980) is the song that really did it for me. Vocals of Edgar Froese in Rapyard (Berlin Icc 1981) really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. All of songs on Guitar Works Cd5 and have something to say letting alone Ndy Parade (Sydney 1982).
