Rare Tracks and Remixes carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Now signed to De Phazz’s SixSteps records, the title track from second album “Rare Tracks and Remixes” leads De Phazz’s back-to-school campaign. On the Sweden charts, superstar De Phazz’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Overall, I would highly recommend Rare Tracks and Remixes CD.
Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Rare Tracks and Remixes is Something Special (Phazz-A-Delic Mix). First time I heard Nameless Life (Rapoetry) was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.Good Boy (Feat B. Lahr - Live Version) is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. I find myself hearing bits of Riddim Wize here and there throughout my waking hours. Hero Dead and Gone (Discotheque Mix) is a great opener for Rare Tracks and Remixes. Drop Down Low - I like this one. The song Love Set U Going (Vs. Lahr - Exclusive Breaking The Ice Mix) ending is my favorite… so catchy! From the moment you listen to Pressurized you’re hooked. The first time I listened to No Jive (Ripped Version) I was struck by its perfect sound. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of De Phazz. Only one song from Rare Tracks and Remixes named Something Special (Duet With Kari Frierson) really got me. Plastic Love Memory (No. Nine) - This is a very lively song. Good Boy (Feat. B. Lahr - Manmachineman Remix) - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Jazz Music is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade.
