After seeing Sweet Tooth, I had to have a good Dana Gillespie cd. This disc has all of the essential Dana Gillespie classics. This is the first studio album from Dana Gillespie since bad diagnosis in 2003. This is one of Dana Gillespie best albums
No Surprises is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Staying Power. I find myself hearing bits of Timeless here and there throughout my waking hours. Voice of Dana Gillespie in Staying Power is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. Put My Anchor Down (6:04) a good melody. Once you hear It’s What He’s Got, you will listen to it over and over. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. I Sigh For You had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Big Picture is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Listening to All Loved Up you can hear that Dana Gillespie has still amazing chemistry with band members. In You’re The Star the music gets its power.
