Now signed to Chris Duarte’s Capitol Records, the title track from second album “Romp” leads Chris Duarte’s back-to-school campaign. This is the first studio album from Chris Duarte since bad diagnosis in 2003. Chris Duarte had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Exciting stuff.
The song Bb Blues ending is my favorite… so catchy! This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. The opening track Fire’s Gone Out is very much like you would expect from other albums. Music and lyrics of Last Night creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Like Eric is another strong production from Chris Duarte. Mr. Neighbor is one of the coolest songs Chris Duarte has ever recorded. I find myself hearing bits of My, My here and there throughout my waking hours. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is One More Cup because the melody in the chorus is so good. Take It to the Lord is a bit different from Chris Duarte stereotypical stuff.
