This album has some very good songs like Good Morning Blues and Jump Little Children, Jump. There is no doubt that Brownie Mcghee has talent. Since Brownie Mcghee last CD (The Last Great Blues Hero) on Columbia Records back in 2000, I have felt a massive void in my life. Check it every song is worth the money for the The Last Great Blues Hero CD!
Once Jump Little Children, Jump gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. In Walk On full palet of sound is used by Brownie Mcghee to accentuate the presentation. Drinking Wine - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Charming song, great melody. Music of Just A Dream is gentle, never overbearing. Key To The Highway is marvelous work of Brownie Mcghee. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is John Henry because the melody in the chorus is so good. You can find feelings on this piece of art. Rock Island Line is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Brownie Mcghee released so far. Lyrics of Christine are precise and evocative. All of songs on The Last Great Blues Hero and have something to say letting alone Pick A Bale Of Cotton.
