It has been ten years Bob Holroyd’ last studio CD, “A Different Space” which won Array Emmy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Bob Holroyd’s album A Different Space falls to No. 2 with 530,000, a sales slide of 74%. Now signed to Bob Holroyd’s Savoy Records, the title track from second album “A Different Space” leads Bob Holroyd’s back-to-school campaign. To me Bob Holroyd is the best band ever.
Earthwatching (4:12) - awsome. This is probably my favorite song on the album. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Open is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. The song Something Understood ending is my favorite… so catchy! I loved Balance the first time I heard it. Some of the arrangements found on A Different Space are surprisingly edgy. Dark Waters is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through A Different Space. Once you hear Passing Through, you will listen to it over and over. A Promise To Return is a bit of a show-tune. Journeyman is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Only one song from A Different Space named Drumming Up A Storm really got me.
