Self-described as Folk with lots of words, Ana Belen comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Now signed to Ana Belen’s Capitol Records, the title track from second album “Peces De Ciudad” leads Ana Belen’s back-to-school campaign. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Ana Belen’s album Peces De Ciudad falls to No. 2 with 908,000, a sales slide of 59%. Enjoy the show.
Pisando Charcos catches attention immediately, Yo Vengo A Ofrecer Mi Corazon is the cool blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. When I listen to Un Extrano En Mi Banera in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Puerto Viejo is perfect. I love the melodic melody of Que Pena and to this day it makes me feel good. Habaname is really a nice song to relax and listen too. Regresamelo Todo is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Peces De Ciudad have ended. Regalame Otra Noche Como Aquella is the more seemingly obscure song on Peces De Ciudad that bear up best to repeated listening. The sound in Peces De Ciudad is really warm and Ana Belen’s signature voice is still very much present.
